The human body is a perfect creation with the ability to heal itself. We aid and assist the body through massage to support healing, pain relief and growth. We offer our clients the choice to select the type of therapy they want, or we can guide them in selecting what we feel best supports their healing, relaxation and regeneration.
Ann Amrose is a graduate of Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and a Licensed Massage Therapist (Lic #004419) since 2006. With an extensive 20-plus year career in the medical field prior to opening The Massage Zone in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science from SUNY Brockport, her holistic practice thrives in incorporating her training, work experience and continued education in the field.
Ann's profound intuitive nature lays the foundation for her expertise in Massage Therapy and Energy Medicine. Her participation in sports and belly dancing enhance her awareness of kinesiology; comprehensive training and daily practice with Energy Medicine & Reiki, meditation, sound healing, aromatherapy, empowering guidance and inspiration provide depth to her transformative work in addressing the mind-body connection.
Certifications include Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), Reiki Master, & Animal Reiki.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Therapeutic Massage is designed and customized to release areas of acute or chronic tension. A combination of techniques including Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Stretching which help to address the problematic areas and, with the right amount of pressure, this massage promotes the body's innate healing ability allowing for muscular release and realignment. Highly effective in providing pain and stress relief for a variety of conditions.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep Tissue Massage is a great way to manage pain, break up scar tissue, and release blocks within the muscle fibers. An excellent massage that can address muscular imbalances created from long-standing pain due to accidents or injuries, daily wear & tear, or activities that stress the physical body beyond its natural abilities. The therapist works to ensure your comfort providing maximum attention to your pain tolerance.

REIKI BODYWORK
Reiki Bodywork is a Japanese hands-on healing system that works with the human energy bio-field to accelerate healing of physical injuries, discomforts, and diseases. It often relieves mental distress and promotes spiritual clarity. Reiki is especially dynamic in the areas of physical well-being and personal growth, and it can be incorporated into a variety of healing arts. This bodywork is a subtle yet powerful modality used to clear blockages. Incorporated in each session is a combination of aromatherapy, sound healing, and guided meditation/journeying. This bodywork can be experienced in an individual session or in combination with Therapeutic Massage.

ANIMAL REIKI
Animal Reiki is a healing modality which has the power to clear imbalances, create a deep sense of peace, and allow for new and harmonious patterns of health and wellness to emerge. The calming effect is nurturing and soothing for the animal. Ann has helped many animals ranging from dogs and cats to various wildlife. Her greatest achievements were helping her male cat reverse his heart condition and assisting her anxious female cat barely acceptable of touch to now receive massive amounts of love and petting. Done from a distance or at the clients' home.

MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a form of bodywork used to assist lymph flow in the body, increasing the rate to 10 times its normal flow. It is a gentle, connective tissue massage technique that accelerates the movement of the lymphatic fluid that bathes the tissues through the lymphatic system and into the bloodstream. The body's healing is maximized by removing toxins and giving life to new lymphocytes (thereby amping up the immune system). MLD is used pre and post-surgery including after cosmetic surgery. MLD is also used for a host of other conditions ranging from sprained ankles, fibromyalgia, allergy relief and muscle tears, to name a few. It optimizes and minimizes recovery time. A proven method to use alone or in conjunction with other holistic therapies.

CORPORATE CHAIR MASSAGE PACKAGE
Chair Massage is an effective and transformative method of massage done on-site at the office: it can be used for monthly wellness appreciation days, special events or occasions such as teacher appreciation, and during tax season to destress the most stressed accountants. Since 2013, Ann has provided chair massage at Sikorsky in Stratford, CT once a week. Using a uniquely designed chair that aids in the body's release and mental decompression, the noted benefits are increased productivity, decreased sick time, and enhanced morale.
